Designed for couples, friends, cycling enthusiasts or leisure cyclists, our private group e-bike tours deliver an exclusive day of discovery of the stories, sites and breath-taking scenery of our charming county. Your experienced guide will take care of every aspect of your day so you can enjoy the perfect balance of effortless cycling, fun and adventure.
Yes - as an e-bike is a powered mode of transport our insurance will not cover any riders under the age of 16 years, and riders under 18 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult. But otherwise, if you can confidently ride a regular geared bike and have good balance whilst cycling then your age is not relevant.
Our e-bikes are suitable for anybody between 5"1 and 6"3 and riders outside of these heights should contact us before booking. The maximum weight our e-bikes have been designed to support is 120kg.
We supply premium hard tail electric mountain bikes in different sizes. Designed with a lower stand over height and fitted with an adjustable “dropper” seat post you are assured of enough clearance to ensure safety and comfort when stopping. The bikes are fully equipped with a kick stand, bottle holder, rack, panniers, snack pouches and lights to further ensure a fun and comfortable cycling experience.
Our e-bikes are pedal assisted (there is no throttle) which means the motor only kicks in when you pedal. You control 4 four modes of assistance from Eco- a gentle helping hand up to Turbo- a real boost for the uphills! Don't worry, we will give you a full briefing and time to practice before you leave on your adventure, and in no time you’ll be grinning as the motor makes light work of the Dorset hills.
Your experienced tour guide plus, the hire of a high specification fully equipped hard-tail electric mountain bike, helmet and technical support. We also provide complimentary drinks and light refreshments on route.
We have many different itineraries and will find a route to suit your interests and level of cycling experience. We have allocated 4 hours for each tour which typically involves up to two hours (or 20 miles) of cycling with plenty of opportunities to stop to enjoy the scenery and take photos. We also allow time for café/picnic stops and drink breaks to suit your group.
All our tours are circular and depending on which tour you choose, they will start in Weymouth, Dorchester or Ringstead where free parking is available.
We would always recommend you wear comfortable, practical clothing, (outdoor and other sports clothing is ideal) as well as closed toe shoes, e.g. trainers. If you do have padded cycling shorts and gloves these will provide extra comfort during the ride. Depending on the weather, additional thin layers and a light jacket may be advisable.
We will provide complimentary drinks and light refreshments for all tours but please feel free to bring your own drinks & energy bars if you prefer, as there will be plenty of opportunities to stop, rest and re-fuel. Depending on the weather we would also propose you bring sun glasses and sunscreen and other personal gear, e.g money, phones, medication (if relevant).
Our aspiration is to guide our guests along beautiful scenic routes and show them how much fun and freedom an e-bike can bring to cycling and exploring. All tours are based on carefully chosen circular routes which take advantage of the quietest country roads, lanes and easy trails, giving each journey a subtly different flavour of south Dorset. If we ever encounter a busy road, it would only be for a short distance to connect to our quieter routes.
Our tours are not for hard core mountain-bikers however we also offer E-bike Trail Experience tours for those wishing to experience the fun, performance and versatility of e-mountain bikes on different green routes, terrains and gradients.
